depends on the ECU. which one do you have?

yeah, it would throw a CEL. you could get a chipped p28 and it wouldn't. you'd also not have to worry about the POS knock sensor retarding the timing between 0-5500rpm (the normally cause you 3-5hp or worse).

the p13 is actually a shitty ECU compared to the other obd1 ecu's. it's BARELY obd1 and still has a lot of the inflexible characteristics that the old obd0 ecu's had

Well I have had a f22b2 in the car then went with an h22a and the egr plug is different so its not plugged in since I cant get to the junkyard to get a plug and figure out the wiring. The car hesitates slightly and I assume this is the issue since its my only cel. So for now I was going to make a block off plate and see if it fixes my hesitation. So if I go with a chipped p28 I can get it programed to not look for the egr.

you just chip it to work with your engine. should be easy to find a p28 with h22a program.

it doesn't control the IAB without an added switch (never bothered me, i ran my IAB straight to the vacuum port) but it doesn't look for a knock sensor (yay) or the EGR (yay)

As long as the sensor is plugged in you will not get a CEL. Even if you have a plate between the sensor and IM. You do need to use the Accord EGR though so the plug matches up. You read the swap FAQ?

So technically I can block off the h22 one take the one from the f22b2 and plug it in and zip tie it in the fender or something

Yeah, I guess that would work. Most people just put it back in the original location though.
