    coolant leak?

Last night after work I walked out to my car to find that the pavement underneath was wet. I tried to get some on my fingers and smell it and it did not smell like oil, but yet was slippery to the touch, then the lubricating properties went away.
Popped the hood and looked around, everything looked normal. Opened up the radiator cap to see that there was not any coolant right under the cap. I added some water and went home. During the 25 mile drive I had absolutely no odd lights, or the temperature gauge moving from normal (right in the middle). This morning I got up and lifted the front end to check further. I checked every single hose, none of them were damp. I took the splash shield off and got a look at the bottom of the radiator, the plastic was not cracked at all. No leaks visible. Popped the radiator cap back off and there was not any water back in the top. I put some more water in, and that is it. I am going to drive another 50 miles today. I am baffled.

this happened to me at random occurences too with the lower rad hose on the rad end.

i had to reposition it and use an actual band clamp instead of that shit OEM one.

I figured it out. Drove around and looked for the leak. The hose that goes from the heater valve to to the head. Gotta go get a replacement now.
