    Clutch ?

Is it benificial to use a act pressure plate with a oem clutch disk and a oem flywheel? I got a trans to do the 5-speed swap and it had an act clutch but the friction disk is about down to the rivets so I figured if it would be benificial I would just get the pressure plate and flywheel re-surfaced and throw in a oem clutch disk. Any suggestions.
    I need a 14b or 16g turbo!

Well i know it would be alright to use the stock flywheel, cause not everybody changes there flywheel to aftermarket when they do there clutch. But i don't know about a stock clutch with an aftermarket pressure plate. Cause the aftermarket plate would put a lot more pressure onto the stock clutch compared to the stock plate. So to me it seems that it would wear down the stock clutch excessively more then that of the aftermarket clutch.

not really a good idea to combine parts that don't match up. just save up and get a new pressure plate and clutch.. the stock kit only runs 100 bucks at the most. at least that is what i paid for one just a couple of months ago.
