HELP!!! car overheating, well thinks it is.

alright, I just dropped this engine in. Straight wired the radiator fan b/c I can find where the brown plug thats attached to the fans power source. New thermostat, flushed radiator, filled with a whole jug of coolant, even purged the water neck near the thermostat housing, and my cb7 still overheats. Now it only does it when Im driving, I let it idle for 10mins and no rise, but I try to drive for 5 and it goes up. It only take 3 mins to cool back down to where it normally rests. As soon as I turn the car off the fans run for 3 mins and thats when it cools down. WTF is the matter now, Ive got 20 days of engine warranty left. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

spend an extra 30 bucks and get a gauge and see if it is overheating or a bad sensor or gauge.

I swapped 2 with my old engine

I swapped the sensor right under the dizzy, and the one by the thermostat, Ill try the one next to the coolant temperature sensor I think its a white or a cream color, hey whats sensor did you end up changing when yal had the similar problem. If you dont mind what color what it is your remember.

Thats the right sensor. Its in the cylinder head. That only works the gauge, but by the sound of things, your fans are working fine. Good luck.

            water pump!

its losing coolant from the timing belt cover, I suspect a leaky water pump, the cars temp drops when I got WOT, that makes the pump go faster, its on its way out, im about to call the salvage yard to see if they cover it under warranty, thanks for your help and support.

^^....when swapping in a new motor, always put in a new water pump. Stored used motors tend to have waterpumps with vanes that rust out.

this is what my old water pump looked like after a year....cost me a hell of a lot to fix...I should have replaced it when I was swapping in the motor.
