Transmission Shaft Greasing Question

ok, so i cleaned out my trannsmission. Like A full on scrub with a toothbrush and i tried to reach every single nook n cranny. I alsp washed the inside part of the tranny, the part that faced the motor, along with that arm that the throw out bearing holds on and rests on that shaft that goes into the engine. Now heres my questions

Am i supposed to grease this shaft with anything? or do i just leave it like that?

looking into the bellhousing from the motor side, grab that clutch release fork and pull it out towards you.


it has 2 pivot points - the ball on the inside of the transmission (held on by that metal wire clip) and the ball on the outside of the transmission (the slave cylinder)

both of those pivot points need to be greased.

plus the ends of the fork, the whole input shaft, and the parts of the bearing that touch both.

With what kind of grease? do you know? Or just any type as long as its some type of grease?

just regular grease... i personally just have a tub of whatever it is you get at autozone that you can scoop out with your fingers

Yep. I have some stuff like that. Mine happens to be made by Valvoline. It says "Synthetic Import Grease". It is grey/black in color.

My dad has this bucket of some Mobil Stuff. Thats whats going on mine.
