Question About DX's

Since DX's dont have AC, what do they have in that whole in the firewall where those two hose fittings for the evaporator?

On this Honda-tech forum (http://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1693934) About halfway down through the first post they have a pic of a hatch with all the rubber fittings in the engine bay.

I cant seem to find this for the Accord. I also tried searching on Majestic Honda as a DX, but it says DX's have A/C so im like right now.

My DX had AC.

idk man my 90 DX has A/C.

I have one of those on my car, I grabbed it from a CB w/o A/C. You'll need to find either a CB or 92-96 Lude w/o A/C. Or you could modify the grommet that you have but neatly cutting away the ribbed hose portions and make an oval shaped patch out of a bike tube to sit inside the depression in the grommet, and glue it in w/ rubber cement or w/e!

DX's didn't have painted bumpers, power windows, power locks, or cruise control.


SOME didn't come with AC or power steering. I'm not sure if you could get them without a radio (probably not... some base base base model cars came with no radio)

yeah .. i wish I could find one .. a true base model.. perfect to do a swap with.

my dx got AC.

A/C on DX's were optional. You can find it on the Owner's Manual.

AC and Power Steering are options that most people chose, it seems.


On an odd side note... the DX/LX have larger front speakers than the EX/SE

My 91 DX coupe 5spd came with A/C, no cruise control, no power doors or windows, came with P/S, came with USDM fogs as well. I think previous owner had the bumpers painted and also installed an OEM spoiler.

I don't get why people think a DX is better for a swap.

Is it because its lighter?
