This may help some people with the same issue
This is on an h22a
My idle would surge 2000-800 once warm... I cleaned everything out that was related to the intake manifold. And there was no change. So I pulled off the intake tube to check the Fast Idle Thermo Valve. There is a small port in the throttle body and once warm there should be little to no suction through this port. Mine had suction. So I pulled the FITV located under the TB on the H22a. There are three ten mm bolts. Once off you can see a cap secured with two eight mm bolts. Remove the cap and the round, white plastic part should be firmly tightened to the clockwise. Mine was off six turns.. Once I fixed that and put the car back together my idle was fixed.
Ive lived with the issue for months and if it were to happen again that is the first thing I would check.
