    Auto Tranny acting funny.

Ok, so this problem has been going on for a little while now.

Most of the time, my car upshifts and downshifts just fine, but occasionally, when I come to a stop, the car does a little buck when I stop, and go to take off again. After this, it won't upshift to 3rd untill about 3500 rpm, even at part throttle. It also won't downshift AT ALL. I can be going 35 in 4th, stomp the gas, and it won't downshift. If I put the car in neutral and quick turn the key off and back on (fast enough so the engine doesn't stop), everything will be fine again. I'm thinking TCU. What do you guys think?

If it's loose , no matter how you put on the gas it wont downshift unless you really put the pedal down.

This happened to my uncles Integra , it won't go fast and to check it was the throttle cable being loose (Not properly adjusted). We adjusted it and it ran perfect.

my stepdad had this same problem in a coupe and sedan we've had. Either its the VSS or its a shift position sensor on the shifter itself. but im leading more towards the VSS.

                hope this helps.

sorry to thread jack but on my throttle cable the bracket was coming out where the two holes screw into the IM.

I've adjusted my throttle cable deally properly, that was a cause of my grinding issues earlier (tq converter was locking up too early).
