    motor ticking

i changed my timing belt a month ago and ever sine i did that the motor ticks really loud, even at idle you hear tick tick tick of the valves hiting the rocker arms i guess. a did an adjustment to my valves and still didn't help. before i changed the belt it was very quiet but now it is embarresing to drive threw town because it sounds like a piece of shit. it gets louder the faster you go also.
    What could it be?

Sounds like you already know. Check your TDC between your camgear and crankshaft. Easiest way is to just gank the crankpulley bolt off, and use the key on the shaft to compare to the tdc of the camgear. Of course you have to have them aligned at TDC when you are checking.

did you change it or did a shop do it for you? If you did it then I would tear it back down and see what the problem is, if it was done at a shop just take it back.

Have you checked the tension of your timing belt? It could be the timing belt flapping. Or does it have more of a mechanical/metallic sound to it?

mine does the same....when you pull up to an ATM you can really hear it echoing...makes the engine sound cheezy imo. Would the hanes manual explain the adjusting process?
