Well I replaced my alternator, alternator belt, and my battery about 10 days ago. A few days ago, my belts would squeel so I replaced my power steering belt two days ago. The belts were still squeeling. Well last night my alternator belt came off due to the alternator pulley nut wasn't tighten all of the way (the nut was barely hanging on). I found this after I went about 1/2 mile down the road and back to the store and the battery light came on.
So, this afternoon I took off the alternator and went to exchange it for a brand new one (since it was their fault and it was still within the 90 day warranty). Got a brand new alternator belt along with the alternator. I got the alternator back on with the brand new belt, everything lined up fine so I tighten everything back up. Double checked everything and everything looked fine. I recharged the battery and the battery was fully charged when I put it back in.
After everything was done, I went to go inside my car to start it up, but no lights came on. Car didn't do anything. I had another battery on hand (fully charged) and nothing still. Tried to jump it, and still nothing.
Since it started to rain and I was out there for about 30 minutes, I gave up.
Tomorrow morning I am going to check:
all grounds
test the battery and alternator to see if they are good
fuses
Is there anything else I should check if none of these things fix my problem?
Any input is appreciated!
