since i didnt want to let the brakes rust out again or the wheel bearings.
i did notice one thing. when i shift from park to d4 and idle drops to 1200. so know im think throttle or tranny cable. i still will check the throttle rotor.

    thaks again.

      back again

ok so i use the appropriate allan key to turn throttle stop screw. then the idle starts bouncing between 1000- and 2000 rpm. so then i disconnect the tps and the idle goes back to 2000 rpm. so i leave it disconnected and take it for a spin. funny thing is in drive the idle drops to 1200 rpm, but the car drove completely fine. then when i got home and put it in park the idle went to 3000rpm and stayed. i probably drove the car 20 miles.

now im assuming im going to have to reset the tps to .5 volts closed throttle since i changed the throttle angle. so my question is do i have to strip the middle red wire to see what voltage it is. i never done this. hopefully this will correct the problem. but turning the throttle stop screw now i know it has to be closed.

      any insight would help thanks

i know of at least one vaccum leak that will cause a constant high idle. it's the one for the cruise control. later.

a leak in ur i/m will also make rev high did u try sprayin throttle body cleaner while car is running 2 c if u can detect a leak or ever a missing cap on 1 of the nipples on i/m.

ok so i try to reset the tps. when i 1st checked it it was .93 closed. but the lowest reading i could get was .60 wot was 4.60 . is this okay. but when i didn this the car started reving up and down from 1500-2500 rpm. and yes i reset the ecu when i did this. so im still scratching my head.

its finally fixed..the idle i mean

the throttle body itself the unit was cracked causing. the housing itself was causing a leak. and you could not see it especially when it was bolted up. the crack was inside of the housing in the iacv bypass tube. bolted up a new stock one and reset idle to spec. its now inspected and ready to go.

ill have to get some updated pics. and i can't wait to test drive. no more jumping curbs and shift into neutral to stop 5000k rpm idle.

well at least i know she pulls really really really hard even for an automatic. she had alot of work done.

so yes deeeeeeev! for a f22b1/f22a1 combo she pulls hard. but the engine is modded

new timing belt, unorthodox pulley set (all 3), full megan stainless exhaust, crane fireball digital ignition with fireball coil. ngk plugs and wires, new intake with ported tb and matched intake manifold. new fuel injectors (with venom injectors for next upgrade), aem fuel rail with aem regulator, new egr valve oem, and new iacv valve oem, and new oem fast idle valve, aem cold air intake, megan cam gear, and the head was also mildly ported to flow better. the fuel pump was also upgraded to walbro 255lph. might consider f22b1 cam regrind

so for folks looking for f22b1 head swap thats kinda the best your going to get without turbo. your better off with time annd money with f20b vtec or h22a vtec,, or even h23 boosted. so i can see deevs point.

id say mine probably puts out about maybe 160-175 whp with all mods. d say alll the mods might bbe worth 20-25 hp. but yes the h22a will give you +50hp with vtec.

but again i am happy with my swap as its not so common.

              later folks

I doubt you're pushing anything over 135whp considering the head/IM combo flows like shit. It may "FEEL" fast, but that's only because it ran like complete shit prior to that.

Also, you're not pushing anything over 135 due to your autotragic.

An h23 head with h23 im/tb will give you better gains. even more so when tuned.

it didnt always run like crap. and did you read the part about

ill quote myself. "and the head was also mildly ported to flow better" and the motor only has 10,000 mmiles on it. it new.

ill have to dyno it at some point. then i can come back on here and embarrass myself and tell you your right!

i idle at 2500k every time i start the car. The idle wont drop for about 4 minutes. Is my idle that bad, whats the norm start up idle???
