Distributor Noise???

    Distributor Noise???

    I am f*ckin' stumped. I started having this loud squealing noise coming from under the hood today. I figured that either my belts were tight/loose or the bearings went out on my cooling fans. Checked all of the above and nothing. Then I finally realized that the noise was coming from the distributor. BTW its a JDM H22A.

    This is the first time I've ever came across this. Obviously something in there is rubbing or whatever. In all cases, it's pissing me off and its embarassing to drive around now. I haven't replaced the cap or the rotor or anything. I got the motor swapped in about 9 months ago. Any ideas as to what I need to replace? Thanks!!!:

    Start with the cap and rotor; see if the sound disappears.

      mine just went today its was the whole entire distributor

        Damn it takes me forever to reply. Turns out it was the distributor. I just decided to replace the whole thing instead of just the bearing. Oh... and it's a bitch to find a new JDM one around here in So Cal. Dropped the damn thing in and took it for a test run all the way from L.A. to S.F. LOL! No problems...yet.

          Yeah, I ordered mine from this guy on ebay. Its new and direct replacement.
