    door problem

out of know where my driver side door does not want to open. anything ever had this happen before and how do you fix it if i really cant take the panel off since the door is shut. I took off the handle (the interior one),to see if everything was ok and it is. i even pulled on the metal wire that opens the door and nothing. now what?

your driver door latch mechanism has failed. you will have to drill a part of the latch out to get it to release, which to gain access to is you will have to get behind the pannel. It is difficult to do, but I have done it. I used to have a PDF file that detailed the steps required, but I no longer do. Try a search on here for drivers door latch, and go from there.

so i guess i would have to replace the door latch after. I dont care about the panel at all. i will break it for all i care. i can just get another one. my panles are geting painted anyways,so it really doesnt matter to me.

so once i get the release, whats the next step after geting the door opened?

you can leave the seat in. but the only way is to drill.

ok.. i have no problem with drilling at all. as long as get to keep the seat in. so basically what im doing is.. drilling a hole into the frame. kind of match it up like they do in that link that was given to me and it will pop right open.... drilling it basicially brakes the sprin right open or something?

Yep. I just drill about 6 holes in the latch, then pryed it open with a big cro-bar. I had a spare car for parts , so it didnt take to long.
