burning oil smell while driving at high speeds.

It seems while im driving I get this strong oil smell but I dont see any oil leaks , can it be my head gasket needs replacement?

Are you using significant quantities of oil or blowing smoke? Does the engine have a lot of 'blowby' when you pull the oil cap off? If the crankcase is being excessively pressurised by blowby (combustion pressure leaking past the pistons rings), then at higher rpm you can have a significant amount of oil being blown into the plenum by way of the crank vent hose (probably attached to the induction pipe in front of the throttle body). Take the induction pipe off the throttle body and see if there's much oil about in there.

    Report back.

    John.

If you fit an additional vent tube that vents to atmosphere via a catch tank then less blowby pressure will be trying to escape through the stock crank breather tube (often very small), so not only will crankcase pressure be less, but less oil will escape into the plenum chanmber through the stock breather tube.

The fact that less pressure will exist in the crankcase because it's better ventilated will also mean that the engine is likely to perform better, because a pressurised crankcase creates a resistance to the pistons on the induction and power strokes (i.e. on the downward strokes).
