    B series map on a h22

    k a buddy of mine been running a jdm h22 on a bseries map for about 6 months the car finally took a crap on him.

    Symptoms
    *I got my tester light hooked it to my battery and unhooked the dizzy clips and stuck it in there and got no power from anything..
    *No Spark
    *Solid CEL (wont flash a code)
    *Turns over healthy but wont fire

    Stuff i tried
    *tryed a new dizzy still no spark
    *tryyed a new dizzy plus a new p13 still no stark




    Any ideas?

          The car should atleast start, but run like total shit even with the wrong ECU

          Sounds Mechanical, non ecu related

                ok has a solid CEL turns over good but wont start...it has no spark..

                        check fuses? check voltage readings with DVOM? check wiring? follow a wiring diagram to find out where your power is supposed to come from? took a crap is still very vague. what did it do? could be a blown fuse could be a short could be and probably is a wiring issue. throwing parts at the problem won't fix it until you have identified the part is bad and if so what killed it. and don't use a test light unless it has an led indicator bulb style test lights draw more amperage and can fry things very easily. you need to use a good led light or a DVOM( digital volt ohm meter) or a power probe( you can use any of the three generations 1 2 3. personally i use the 2nd gen) if you need wiring diagrams and troubleshooting flow charts pm me with email address and i will send you the factory manual not haynes or chilton but honda.

                            You get a solid cel with the ecu plugged in? Change the ecu.

                              yea i get a solid cel with the ecu plugged in. i mean i know for 120% the ecu is good. cause i put it in my buddys h22 accord and it fired right up with no CEL run smooth tec and everything worked.

                              oh and i also have tryed a new ecu a regular p13 and still solid cel no spark no start.
