    grinding/popping noise

theres kind of a grinding/knocking noise coming from the front passenger wheel again. im hoping its not the axle again. when i put my stock wheels back on the other day i noticed a ball join was leaking. the one that was leaking connected from the bottom and behind the axle. could this be what was making the noise? im pretty sure the noise stops when the car has been driven for a little bit, but i normally have the radio on so it kind of drowns out.
it makes the noise when i hit bumps. whether im going straight or turning. if i hit a bump thats when i hear the noise.

jack up that wheel and then put you hands at the 9 and 3 and shake, also do it for the 12 and 6 oclock positions. If its loose or has play, thats bad, it should be pretty solid w/ minimal to no play for a good condition balljoint.
