I'm having a problem with my e-brake, as the title suggests. (I have gotten into the habit of using it whenever I park, even though I don't need to because the car is an auto, '92 EX coupe if it matters.) Anyway, this morning on my way to class, I let out the e-brake, put the car into reverse to back out of my parking spot, shift to drive, hear a "thud" sort of a sound, and think "hmm, what's that?". So I pull out of the lot, and notice my e-brake light is still on, but I didn't have time to mess with it because I had to get to class, and the car seemed to be alright. The car will still roll when it's in neutral, but not as much/as quickly as I would expect (once again, it's an auto, so I'm not used to my car rolling in neutral). Also, I notice if I pull the e-brake handle up, the light does get a little brighter. What's going on here? Is the cable froze up, or is the switch for the light stuck, or what?
Also, I don't think it's a fluid issue, because the master cylinder reservoir is filled to halfway between the max and min lines.
