    Manual transmission fluid

I'm about to order up some fluid here. Going to go into my friend's 1991 Accord LX 5 speed, and also into my 2004 Civic LX 5 speed.

I'm looking at this manual transmission fluid... should be enough to change both our transmissions with a quart maybe two left over.

Let me know what you guys think. I'm just about due on a change on mine and my buddy is a bit overdue.

    Thanks!

I tried search and didn't find much that would help my question.

haha thanks. I just feel better putting the OEM stuff in there.

I read all over and there are huge debates on what fluid to run. The only constant I saw was no one really had an issue running the factory stuff.

I think the manual tranny is not as sensitive as the A/T when it comes on fluids.

I just use regular 10-30. If you want something thicker, you can use 20-50. Regular engine oil is all you really need.

using engine oil compared to actual MTF is a HUGE difference.

trust me. I used 10-30 for over a year and then used honda mtf.
