Yes that's the oil pressure sensor.

Liquid gasket on the camseal? How about no. Definitely get a new seal. The idea is it seals against the rotating surface of the cam, which liquid gasket would never be able to emulate. You're playing with fire here. That timing belt is going to need replacing. I've got one if you want it, when I did my head swap, I had to get a smaller belt, so my previous (Honda brand) belt is just sitting around. Got less than 1K miles on it. I've also got a camseal if you want it, Honda brand also.

i just put the liquid gasket on the outer part of the seal which contacts the rocker arm assembly not the inner part touching the cam. probably will just take it to the dealer to have everything done at once. there goes $500.

Gotta love the stealership you can pay to have shit done there and sometimes incompetance still they may not get it right and may fuck it up so find someone you know to do it or do it yourself.

My engine had a oil pool that refilled itself in that exact same place. I did install a new head gasket ($110 in parts) because of the turbo but it did stop after i installed the headgasket.

if i thought i could do the timing belt, i would but my abilities stop there. plus i don't have the time or patience to learn. i actually trust the dealership near my dad's, it's an hour away but worth it.

dropped my car off at the dealer tonight, will be ready for tomorrow. they are doing all belts, water pump, and cam seal for $455 + tax. i thought that was reasonable for the dealer anyways.
