    Battery Relocation (Need some info)

yeah so i realized having that damn battery in front of the airbox is a real pain when trying to work on certain things, plus its just ugly. i know some of you guys have done the battery relocation to the trunk. id like to know how to do it, what materials, cables etc i need. also, im going to be installing a subwoofer+amp in the trunk, and id like to know whether the battery in the trunk will have an effect on the audio system (noise interference, etc).

i used the summit racing relocation kit and have no problems. Be sure to vent the battery, unless you have a dry cell.

since the battery will be back there, the amp hookup should be a breeze.

I bougth a battery box at checker auto parts for $13, and a tip Wallmart has them for 6 were the car batterys are....

Then I went to loose and bought 20ft 2 guage jumper cables, so its really 40ft because its 2 wires for $40...

Ran the positive directly to the starter and put the one from the fuse box next to it, and put the blot on...and I just put the ground in the trunk...

Simple as that and a lot cheaper than one of those kits....You could propably do the whole setup for under $50 and thats for 40ft of 2 guage cable if you get at same price...Snd be sure to bolt the battery box down, when I had just finished mine up I went driving around my yard a little bit and I came to find out the box flew off into the center were the spare tire go's...

If you ever want to take it to the track you're gonna need a battery cutoff also. They'll check you on that.
