    DIY Request: ES300 Fogs

Looked around and all I can find are pictures or them installed.
Mostly curious about where/how you installed them, and how you wired them (to the parking/headlights, or through a switch), if you have them on yours. I'm expecting a set in the mail soon.

I made a harness for mines. its just like those OEM CB7 ones. as for the fogs them selfs, because the wagon bumper is shorter than sedan/coupe I had to cut a section of the middle

        Thanks.
Anyone have them wired to the parking lights? That's how I'm probably going to do mine.

there was no need to come in this guys thread which he asked how to mount them and bash on someone elses car. gtfo dude your going to make a bad reputation for yourself around here. your car is nowhere near the level gus's wagon is so stop talking shit about it. /rant

back to the actual topic there was a guy who cut 3 holes in the bottom of his bumper (all were round for cooling i guess) and he mounted his fogs in one of the holes and you couldn't tell he had them in unless he turned them on

yea its cuz i am taking my time with the car and not half assing everything,
reason why i am looking at this thread is for ideas on small foglights

why do you go and do your own thing then and not bash people. ask cvc7chris his reputation went to shit because he was stupid and did the same thing your doing. now he realized it and is better. i hope you realize it too. here are 2 quotes that will help you out in your time of need

Yeah, I've seen that one. Looks clean. I'm probably going to mount them just inside of where the OEM ones would go, don't want to cut on the bumper.
Mostly was just wanting to see how others had mounted/wired them.

here's some pics of my install...hope it helps you figure out where you want to put em. I attached them to the bumper using hangar strap, which i screwed into the car using two of the power steering's 10mm bolts. It was fairly easy, I cut up the bumper using a pair of dykes and then just tucked them in there.

With flash^^^ didn't turn out well so i turned flash off for rest of pics

                            55watts of H3 POWA!

Switch i got for 6 bucks installed in the middle, making my total for this project $14.

Switch lit up, only works when all lights are off however, gotta fix that...err

^^^^ they light up the road REALLY well, but still need to be adjusted and secured with a bracket somehow

sorry for SO many pics but I just want to be completely sure you got what I did: from my MRT

Okay Day 2...mounting the FOGS lol.

I painted the steel brackets a black color w/ some high temp paint to match the fog housings.

This is a new Loctite product i've never seen before. Super strong permanent double sided tape which I used in addition to the bracket. Its waterproof, withstands temps from -40*F to 248*F and is resistant to UV light. a 6 inche strip of it holds 11lbs.

^^^I went to the electrical dept. of Home Depot and found this to make my bracket out of, pretty flexible yet strong galvanized steel
