PREREQUISITES:
-Alarm/starter with TWO aux outputs
-Well-lubricated windows
-2xAUX wires, and 12V Const wire run into the door
-Aux functions must be 5-second-latch (sliding door mode). Latch-while-hold will also work.
Pinout:
1-BLU/GRN Motor Side
2-BLU/YEL Motor Side
3-RED/YEL Motor Side
4-RED/BLU Motor Side
5-IGN (12V when engine running)
6-BLU/GRN Switch Side
7-BLU/YEL Switch Side
8-RED/YEL Switch Side
9-RED/BLU Switch Side
10-Polarity Select (see below)
11-AUX 1 Input
12-AUX 2 Input
13-Chassis Ground
14-12V Constant (15A Fused)
STEP ONE: Get the parts
You need SIX SPDT Relays. I used the 5-pin PCB model because they are small enough to fit in the door, and powerful enough (7 amps minimum). You also need some wire and a 15A fuse. And wire cutters, solder, and a soldering iron or butane lighter.
STEP TWO: ASSEMBLE!
Time to go Ikea all up in here. Make life easier for yourself and arrange the relays like in the diagram. They all face pins-up and in the same direction. Superglue them together, and start your soldering iron. Solder them up just like the diagram states.
STEP THREE: Cut!
Open your door and locate the following wires leading to the window control unit. Cut them, leaving room to attach wires to both ends of the cuts. Be sure to note the switch-side and motor-side of each wire when you cut it. This is very important.
Red/Blue, Red/Yellow, Blue/Yellow, Blue/Green
STEP FOUR: Attach!
Solder it all up as best you can, taking care not to fuck shit up. Be sure to double-wrap your solder joints to best prevent shorts.
POLARITY: Important!
For negative AUX outputs, attach this wire to 12V Constant
For positive AUX outputs, attach this wire to Chassis Ground
HOW IT WORKS:
This relay module controls just the FRONT windows.
The bottom two relays flip-flop the polarity to control up/down motion.
The upper four relays prevent the remote circuit from interfering with the switches. When the engine is running, window control is given to the switches in the door. When the engine is off, control is given to the remote unit.
MODIFICATIONS:
The vehicle has built-in relays to keep the windows activated until the door opens rather than when the engine is switched off. To use this functionality, connect wire 5 to the WHT/YEL wire in the window control harness (DONT CUT THE WHT/YEL WIRE, just tap it)
