thanks.. i d k if i shoudl even invest in motor mounts for the car, or if its the reason why car shakes at times. at times during traffic light it's not so bad, but when i reverse or slow down to take turns it goes to abot 600 or so and thats when it starts to shake a bit. most notably in reverse.

i guess the main thing is locating and taking the mounts out :shrugs: :noob: .. especially the one that is affected by the reverse..
        hahahahah

I just received my urethane from McCarr, plan on doing the rear mount this weekend. If it isn't too much of a PITA, I'll post photos. I would like to be able to get the mount out without removing the intake, but it may be the best way to go. We'll see.

So far it looks like the worst part is having the mount out of the car for two days while the urethane cures.

If you guys dont want to buy this stuff online, search your yellow pages for an automotive supply shop. They have urethane/liquid welder stuff of all different varieties. 3m makes some stuff, part 8115, 8117, 8223, 8308 which have varying levels of flexibility. 3m also makes window welder in a few different kinds, and SEM/Seymour(or seymore) make similar products that will be a little cheaper.

I didnt want to go through all the hassle so I just bought mine from www.energysuspensionparts.com for less than $22 for the front mount. Got it within 3 business days and will be putting it in when I get the chance. Shouldnt take that long. Looks pretty simple.

What mounts go bad most often/first?

dont post that shit in my thread, this is exactly why i started this, so people didnt buy that crappy energy mount, thanks please delete your post, if you wanna post about how great that energy mount is, make your own thread..

also you paid 22 whatever for one mount, we are doing 2 mounts with 37 dollars, and also having some left over urethane.

Also i am a grassroots kidna guy, if i dont have to buy it, i will make something work from nothing..

here are the pics, it looks like its pealing, but that is just part of the excess spill over that i didnt clean up pealing.. this is after 1 1/2 yrs

Got my urethane resin stuff today!! looking forward to doin this on my auto, the side mounts are so cracked the motor is actually shifting, causing the car to drift ever so slightly left and right when trying to drive in a straight line... even the guy that did my alignment said they were in aweful shape!

My mounts are curing right now. This is some runny messy shit! My advice to the next guy that tries this either do a better job of taping (you can never be too sure) or find another way. Duct tape does NOT fix everything... nor does it stick well to engine grime! While the can holds enought to prolly do about 5 mounts, I barely got through 3 because of all the leaks I sprang. Hope it all sets up okay over the next 48 hours.
