    EXT: paint and powdercoat polishing

this isn't for the paint job, but painted things here and there on the car.

this is to show you how to give the paint(not your paint job) and powdercoat that ''wet'' look. all you do is apply the product to the cloth and rub back and forth. since it's a true polish, it requires working. not wipe on/wipe off

because it is a true polish, not just a cover up, i wanted others to see what it was capable of beyond just removing scratches.

when you are done, just use your favorite wax to protect the finish. of course being scratch remover, it also works great on scratches on your paintjob. use it anywhere the paint is dull.

Materials: a cotton polishing cloth &

this is really something that you can do that is very simple, but time consuming.

here is a strut. it has never been used. the paint is shiny, but it could be better. i put tape in the middle to show the difference.

    ^^^^polished-------------------^^^^unpolished

even with the tape gone, you can still tell.

    a windsheild wiper

you can do all of the black paint here

    and here

this seems to work well on neglected paint under the hood and in the door jambs.
    later.

Yeah me to. My car has been screaming at me to polish it. No more ugly pinstripe or stickers either.

      Thanks Type-G.

Oh, crap. I'm out then. One question, however:

"this is to show you how to give the paint(not your paint job)"

What is that, like the difference between "blow" and "blowjob"?

i was refering to things that are painted on the car, not the actual paint job. things like the brackets under hood, door pillars that are painted and powdercoated. the car has painted things that are different from the paint of the body.

but of course it can be used on your paint job, as that is what it was intended for.

because it is a true polish, not just a cover up, i wanted others to see what it was capable of beyond just removing scratches. later.

The windshield wipers! There really is no end in what this man will detail. Every time I see his under hood pictures I get excited.
It really is a labor of love making a neglected CB7 with "normal wear and tear" into something worth being proud of.

when taking my door panel off, i noticed that the black paint around the perimeter of the inside window could be burned off with the polish. for me it exposes blue paint. you can see the tape line in this pic.

to burn off the paint would be time consuming to say the least, but worth it if you have a white car or lighter color one.
