of course, but its just that much harder to actually do. its not a theft safety, just a theft deterrent

i know this thread is old. but im bringin it back from the dead. i think alot of people should do this mod.

i went outside and fought it for an hour. i relocated it around the windshield water resivoir and following the big loom of wires through the firewall. this will make it too short to put it in the origional pop spot by about a foot but i dont plan to use the oem pop because u can still break a window and pop the hood w/o opening the door. even a noob thief would know that.

i like the idea of it going through the fender frame like cp[mike] did but i would have to c what the car looks like w.o a fender b4 i decide to go that route. one concern that it does raise however is that they can still pull the wire from the headlight with a needle nose pliers very easily so i may try to just modify what i have now.

n e wais i feel alot safer knowing that they will have a beast of a time finding my hood pop now.

edit. i went back and routed it slightly different and i can still retain the oem mounting spot. but to me this is only 50% safe. they can still break a window as OEM alarms dont have vibration and for those that do u can still break a window w/o much force at all. or at least i have and can ( locked cars at the salvage yard ) im still working on relocating the pop, with a less bulky hood pop than the CB one. .

im trying to relocate it to a spot out of vision.. either by fabrication of a bracket or using one from another honda.

i edited my resurection post and i can retain my oem hood pop location but would prefer not to as a further theft deterrant
