my hood popped open on the highway, remember? its like running face first into a flat sheet of metal at 75+ mph, and you know how heavy stock hoods are... you should hve seen the hood after it happened. it popped and actually folded itself INSIDE OUT around the front of the car, like it hit and popped inside out and moulded to the shape of the front windshield, u can still see the lines. me and eric jumped on it to pop it back out so i could put it back on for the tow ride. it caused tons of damage, the roof is all bent up too, the sunroof doesnt seal around the edges anymore and the sunvisors are pointing diagonally down... it actually cracked part of my cardboard headliner, which is weird... you cant see it in pictures and it doesnt look that bad in person, but its bad... the roof is warped all over and pushed down. thats why i got the new car... still deciding if its worth the effort and time and money to fix the 93, but i guess getting an estimate will decide that.

                      thanks.

cpmike, i kept looking at your sig and rubbing my eyes! i like, either i'm blind or that pic is piss poor, 'cause it doesn't look cracked to me.

hopefully that estimate is on the lower end!

His sig pic was b4 the hood flew up.

I am guessing its going to be much cheaper for you to swap all the stuff to the current car, or get another, and swap the stuff to it, and get everything fixed. It'll prolly be about 3-4k for a good shop to fix the car back to perfect, where w/that money, you could get a new one and swap the stuff. A car is never the same after an accident no matter what you put into it.

yeah ive actually been running that idea through my head repeatedly... now all i would need to find is another rust free white 9293 EX sedan, 5spd preferred, for a good price... fuck, i paid 3k for that car and i cant believe it got so messed up so quickly... but i guess that happens, when you wreck a car you wreck a car... i can go thru insurance but its not a valuable car, its not worth raising my insurance... i might just have to bite the bullet and save up and buy another one and use my old one as a parts car. id prefer not to use the 91 as a permanent replacement, i want a 9293 EX.

lemme know if you are interested in travelling. Cisco(hondafan81) got his down here and drove it home.. pretty much rust free. I can watch out for one. Mostly the ones down here are autos though from all the old people, but once in a while the 5 speeds pop up. Maybe we can do a trade.. you find me an early 90's cbr 600, since they are cheaper up there, and i'll get you another cb7
