i've clayed mine about 10-12 times since i've owned the car (once a year) and each time it pulls stuff out of the paint. you can also use it on your glass. good stuff. later.

Thanks Brian. I didn't know you could use it on glass. I am going to try that today.
AccordtypeR-thanks man, took me awhile but the end result was worth it.
to tell you the truth, you cant see much of a difference in pics, because i washed the rl really good. but when standing next to it, theres a huge difference. the car shines alot better.
miss my turbo cb7
moved onto volvos. dont know how that happened, just did
x2 for glass. And if you're concerned, use an older/used piece of clay that you won't use again on your paint. Helps keeps your wiper blades working smooth and last longer--(esp. if you clean the inserts with washer fluid/glass cleaner).
I clay my car on a similar schedule to TypeG. After you are done if you spray a random spot with water/detailing lube it should appear as if you just waxed it.

werd. polish makes your paint shine while wax protects. although some degree of luster can be expected from wax alone.
you don't always have to polish though. access your paint and see if you have marring, swirls, spider webbing, or any other paint defect. the scratches in paint keep the light from reflecting properly. therefore the more scratches you have, the duller the finish.
the proper paint surface prep is wash, clay, polish, sealer and glaze, and wax. later.
