Are you doing the bay just red, or are you going to add some white into it?

I like the little gauge cluster where the cupholder would be. That's slick.

Yea, Ill be adding some white and black into it as the parts make there way back in. That gauge mount still needs to be painted and the new gauges installed.

Ether black or Bordeaux Red Pearl. I want it to be Bordeaux Red Pearl.

Love the bordeaux. That will complement the maroon interior nicely, and your engine bay will just pop when you open the hood.

I didnt think bout 2 tone. I might have to make a few renderings and see how that would look.

Black on the bottom with bordeaux on the top (at the top bodyline), or vice versa.


Nice bordeaux red pearl on the bottom, with matte black or satin black on top...because a black greenhouse area would look sick, and the contrast of the bright engine bay when you open the black hood would just pop.

Thats some great ideas. I might do a few photoshop pics. Im liking the red on bottom and black on top at the window line and in between the body lines on the hood for the mohawk look.

Got some more work done today. Its so close to being ready for the new engine.

Driver side fender and wheel well is on.


The bay is 90% painted, clutch line is ran, fuse box is in, fuel filter is in and started to loop the PS lines.

UPDATE

I got the front fenders and hood bolted back on and mocked up the lights



I had some fun and painted the under side of the hood



I finally got the old auto out of the bay


I finally got that old auto out of the bay.


I started to rip into the old A6 block and look at that oil.


I had to dump that pan and heres the rest that came out.

UPDATE

Swapping the old auto rubber with the MT bracket. The one that was on the MT bracket was shot.



The new MT. I still have to clean it up and paint it.



I tried to mock in the MT trans but didnt want to risk it so in went the old A6 for mock up.





Its goin down. New MT mount is in!!!
