Creating portfolio website

[cb7wagonPL]

Slowly im looking into creating some sort of portfolio website of my photography. I'd like to use it to mainly show my work and be able to present some examples to my clients. I am pretty computer savvy but i never made a website. Im interested in creating a site with a flash component so that the pictures can transition nicely and have a professional look about it. Any ideas where to start. Im using a mac so i'd like the software to be compatible with that.

Here are some example sites that i like:
www.jasongrover.com
http://bradthephotog.com/other.html
http://www.andrew-jennings.com/photo...dex.php?p=home

If you haven't done websites, let alone flash sites, there's a lot of flash components/templates out there that's suited for a photo gallery. You might wanna check them out, plus if I'm not mistaken they have instructions on how to set it up. So go on, google.

As for software, Flash & Dreamweaver, of course Photoshop/Illustrator and Fetch if you wanna use an FTP program and not upload from DW.

Hope that helps.

I really liked the first webiste. This is making me want to make a "portfolio" website just for fun!

Any updates on what you've done?
