d40 users?

i just got a d40 and i'm getting more and more use to it everyday any of you d40 users have any tips
and tricks when taking car photo's heres a quick one i did of my buddies hatch i know it could've been
better if we went somewhere with a better background but lmk whatcha think.

i forgot what mode i was in at time. what would be the best mode for a pic like that?

I would've preferred a better backdrop, and a better view of the car. That one kinda looks like someone just snapped a shot after parallel parking it. The driver's side is kinda shaded, but if those things were fixed it'd be a good shot. Of course, this is just a quick shot, so most of that doesn't apply. Just make sure the car is the focus of the picture.

how about the mods erase all the d40 threads and merge it into one...

good idea. or better yet! make another subforum in the photography section. One for Nikon specific quetions, one for Canon, Sony, Minolta and etc and leave the one we have now as a general photo section.

thanks for the input thats what i like to hear. but yeah it was a quick shot he came over when i was messing around with the cam and asked me to take a shot of his hatch for myspace.
