ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

What was your average total miles on a full tank?

For my last CB7 H22a automatic, I had a heavy foot and was filling up I swear at least once a week. If i had a full tank and drove to San Francisco which is about 50ish miles from my home, I would come back with just a little over 1/2 a tank. That H22a really ran super rich! I killed 3 cats with that car.

With my p72 tuned H22a manual current CB7, i'm averaging close to 318 per tank with a v-tec happy week.

I have yet to do a FULL week with no v-tec engaging at all but my best so far has been 336 miles with the dummy lamp blinking fast. It's so addicting to wind up the RPMs

Ref are just techs and they don't know everything. You, or the Ref for example, might think that a California ECU or even a USDM ECU cause the engine to have less emissions and run cleaner than with a JDM ECU. Totally false. I have both a California P13 and a JDM P13 and ran the smog with each one without changing any other parts. Results were the same. Turned out I needed a new Cat. The last time I did smog I did it with the JDM P13 and I had almost zero emissions across the board.

If Ref's would care more about how clean the car runs and less about nit picking details of parts it would save everyone a lot of headache and cost.
I found some pictures I snapped of Alex/ Starkrice’s Car in my photo bucket album . He actually BAR'd the F20B with a full wire tuck.

Is he still driving it around? Last I remember hearing which was over 3 years ago the engine wasn't doing so well. I remember that story when he got it bar'd. At first the ref was shaking his head saying "how much are you willing to spend" and then basically saying F it, we'll just bar it as an H22 LMAO.

But laws are hardly ever black and white and no two people will ever interpret them uniformly. Trust me I enforce laws. I'm an inspector in the food industry and I can tell you without a doubt that: A. No inspector knows every law. And B. No inspector enforces every law, and C. No inspectors agrees with every law, and D. No inspector interprets the law the same way as others. There are so many gray areas. Many times it comes down to professional judgement and what "makes sense".

Wow very interesting... I want to know that BAR shop. They seem hella cool. I would seriously put my car back to stock and drive it down there coz all the BAR ref's in my area or in sac are haters with their own fixed up rides or Muscle heads who don't know anything about how Hondas are setup with a swapped engine. The sacramento BAR ref failed me instantly because my engine bay didn't "look like a prelude" with the charcoal boxes. I argued with him and wanted to just take my car back but I stayed to see what other bs he was going to find wrong.

If you took a wire tucked car to one of these shops, that would be a guaranteed instant visual inspection fail.
