Exclamation Replaced transmission but still acting weird

Got it replaced at the beginning of january and has been acting funny, its a honda accord 92 lx atoumatic and it runs somewhat normally on flat or downhill roads (somewhat meaning that I only hear it change gears from first to second but thats it) but going uphill I notice it gradually raises in rpm from 2 1/2 to 4 rpm, would not go any faster, and would never go down unless I make a complete stop, when I park my car I noticed smoke coming from my hood and underneath the car, wasnt thick but was white and can be seen if you look carefully, is it the transmission that can be the problem, and if not, what could be. Thankyou so much for taking the time to read this and I appreciate some insightful feedback

Sounds like your tranny is gone. With your foot on the brake firmly, push the gas pedal. What happens?

Engine fade?
Does the car try and move?
Is there little resistance?
