So, my car was out of time, and the tach would jump.
Now its timed perfectly, and it still jumps..
What else could possibly cause this?

A jumping tach usually is your ignitor is going out. Could be other things but generally it is that."There is nothing wrong with you that an expensive operation cannot prolong." -

Before you change the ignitor (ignition contol module) or the entire distributor, check the distributor ground - it goes from the distributor harness to under the thermostat housing.
