First Time on the Drag Strip

    Hey guys!

Next Wednesday my friend & I are planning to do our first ever track day.
I have never really done a launch before with holding the E Brake lol.
I tried one last night & man do I suck!! I know I am gonna red light
because I can't get the E Brake release & clutch thing at the same time lol.

Any pointers or insight you guys can give me?!

You don't need the ebrake just drop the clutch at 4500 and go...stock engine right?

Ya, don't use e-brake yet. Just let the car sit there, let the clutch out just enough until it almost grabs but doesn't move the car. Rev up to your desired rpm and pop the clutch...

Soo, the track did not open that day because it ended up being too hot?

I wanted to go so bad. So hopefully next Wednesday.

It is a stock JDM F22B in my Civic.

Okay, thanks guys! I have never done it before so I have no idea haha.

          Did you go?

As someone who has gone for years, it is really addicting. No need for the Ebrake on your first run. I still have yet to use it with over 50 passes in the CB7. I agree with the others. Now, if you are in Maryland, are you going to race at the Maryland International Drag Way? That track is certainly one of my favorite strips.

No I never got to go yet unfortunately. The Test & Tunes are always on Wednesdays & every time there is a weather issue so it always gets cancelled lol. I wish I would race at MIR! I am closer to a track by me called Cecil County Dragway. Hopefully this Wednesday it DOES NOT RAIN!

Cecil is another great track too! If you can't go on the 16th for the next Test-N-Tune for whatever reason, you should go to this coming Friday night's street and grudge race night. You would still get to practice. Plus, I don't think it costs nearly as much as a test-n-tune.
