actually you don't even need a sawzall, just a tree and a chain. Wrap chain around tree and attach to bent part. Slowly reverse. That'll straighten it out.

Best Way to pull engine out of wrecked cb9

Ah, ok. That makes sense about the insurance.
So there's no way at all to ever repair a totaled car older than 2000 in NH?
As for bending the front end... you could always just get length of chain and someone with a truck... even a wimpy truck should be able to pull that front end out. If it's scrap, who cares if you mangle it!

Guys, get this. I spoke with the team member who worked on the claim. She said that my title and car is free and that I can do whatever I want with it. Is that crazy ? So it means the don't have to scrap it after all but I can fix it and make it run again! I still don't get it tho, why would they give me so much liberty if they gave me the check. I want to call the DMV to be absolutely sure.
And btw the guy with the bb6 is being kinda lame, he said someone else was seeing it tonight and he would sell it to him if he had a better price (weak sauce). He already told me he couldn't have someone see it tonight but the next morning (Tuestday). Like, wtfreak.
Guess I'm going to be trying to pull it out with a tree (good ol' tree, thx nature). But I can't exactly put it into gear and make the car move slowly because the slave cylinder is completely broken and leaked out all the clutch fluid. It moves but it like jumps when it does. Doesn't stall it just moves too fast to pull it out I think. I will have to find a way of repairing it I guess. Its gotta be the clutch line broke... I'd so like that bb6, lol.“Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you.”

Better pic of the carnage, worse than yours wgn man.
I think I need to get serious and have it welded with a new front end. SOmeone in the fb group for va parts said that he could do it and its not hard at all. Look at hoe the pass side is bent lower and inwards.

Ya think I'm best off doing the same to mine? It looks bad and I don't know if it'll ever drive as well as it did before unless I shell out $$$$. I have 1000 in cash in my glove box of my car the dang idiot head guy who was gonna sell me the prelude is backing out in favor of some other guy coming to see it who if he "offers him more than me" is going to let him have it. What a pos thing to do he already said he couldnt have someone look at it tonight. I just thought about it now and that really ticks me off.
Like, he said he'd take 1000 for it after I talked him down like crazy from 1500 and now its gonna be about the money. Freaking two faced, twisted people out there I tell ya.“Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you.”

Can you guys help me fix it? I got a reciprocating say coming in from amazon (prime) with 5 steel cutting saw blades.
I think my best mode of action is to cut the condensor/radiator rite on the sides to free things up, touch none of the chassis.
Then I think I can go to replacing the slave cylinder and clutch lines so that it will go into gear properly again. It needs a new radiator and I know that the AC system is trashed and will need to be replaced. Or I can drive without it.
What should I do from then though?
Is it even worth fixing, do you think it will drive right after I fix it?“Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you.”

This thread may provide some insight on how to go about repairing it. I believe you can get the sheet metal for across the front of the car, if not, use your sawzall to cut the needed section from a straight car at the salvage yard. Eastwood sells a spot weld cutter that can be used to go through just one layer of metal. On the damaged car, work from the outside, on the donor pieces, work from the inside to separate the metal. For most of my welding I was able to use a cheap spot welder with 12 inch jaws to recreate the original joints (also see Rescuing Ruby for additional information - link in 1990 MRT).

I think I'm just gonna sell the car as is or sell the parts off it. It just seems like too big of a project for me.
I have this 02 neon which I like to drive around, its a auto though. There's this person who will sell me their manual transmission one, exact model and everything just a stickshift. I don't know I think I might get out of the honda scene completely and just go to the dark side of the force, lol.
I just like the way the neon drives and its a lot better technology then the old hondas I'm used to driving and modding. Maybe I'll stick a 2.4 liter motor in the car if I get it, I think it'll be a fun little car. They handle really good. What do you guys think about a dodge neon tuner car?“Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you.”
