ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    F22 power capabilities. HELP!

I have a stock 92 Accord EX Coupe with the F22a6. Is it at all possible to mod this engine without using forced induction to about 200 bhp or about 170 whp? Or anywhere near this? I want to get an H22 for the power and keep it stock, but if I can get the same power with my F22 that would be great. I will do anything but turbo/superchargers, I want to keep it n/a.

h22 head swap, camshafts, plenum spacer, I/H/E, metal head gasket, bored cylenders, dual grind valves, big bore throttle body, heavier radiator cap, bigger injectors 225 lph fuel pump. theres a lot you can do without a turbo

Anything is possible, just depends on your budget, resources, and time
170whp isn't a huge goal turbo wise, NA it's a bit more significant.
Plan out how much you want to spend, do LOTS of research for the best parts for the "Bang for your buck" deals and go from there.
You should have a look at Hondafan81's red and white projects to give you an idea of cost/final goals

If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

X2. I was just about to say the same exact thing. A H22 head swap is a waste and seriously, a heavier radiator cap? How much HP does that add?

              To the O.P.,
All this will give you a nice gain:
              • Ebay SRI with K&N filter
              • Decent muffler and have a muffler shop bend you up some 2.25 inch piping
              • Doublestack your IAB plates
              • Send out your throttle body to Maxbore.com
              • Delta 272 regrind or Bisimoto cam
              • F22A4 header
              • Mild P&P on the exhaust side of the head
              • Get tuned

If you just don't want to go turbo or supercharger ( You said "anything but") Then why not spray? A little nitrous can do wonders!

You can make 170whp NA fairly easily. A good I/H/E plus a nice port and polish job on the head should get you pretty close to that. I have 160whp out of my a1 with no head work (unless it was done before I got the car), and I haven't swapped the IM or put the cam in it yet.

first- never use solid metal head gaskets!
second what are dual grind valves

Most of your listed items are unnecessary

to OP start with a budget and work off that towards what you want your power goals to be.
