ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

White wheels, go or no go?

    Finished painting: pg.3

Well im getting my licence in a month and I am really thinking about painting my wheels for the 3rd time. Most likely white, like this:

I like it because it sticks out, way too many people are using black wheels now

    Only problems are:
Im worried it may get dirty fast, I might mess up painting them, my parents dont want me painting the wheels AGAIN.
-Could you guys give me input on white wheels?
-How do you think they would look on my car, likes, dislikes?
-And, how do i get the paint off my old wheels easily?

    Wheels now:

    THANKS!!!

Id say go for it! Itll look good on your blue cb! But think of the winter and the salt, if you have winter wheels then thats not a problem for you!

Post up pics if you paint em!

Tough call. I like the look your car has currently, but I think the white wheels will look really good too. They'll just be hard to keep clean.

Tell your parents its your life and you paint whatever you fell like goooshhh
I've had white wheels on my cb and I can tell you this they look nice when they are clean the first two days but after that they look like crap. Brake dust makes them look really bad, but if you have the time to keep them clean then go for it.

Hope you know there will be alot of members posting...

"its your car/wheels, do what you want" blah blah blah

White wheels should look really good on your cb. My cb is a blueish color and when i had white wheels everyone loved them but they will get dirty quick, if you stay on them they shouldn't be too bad. Fastest way to remove paint is with Aircraft paint remover. Btw keep a clean rag with you so that you can quickly wipe any brake dust as it sticks to the wheels

          good luck and ...

Its your car, do what you want.

Thanks for the input guys. I think ill do it before it starts getting cold here.
            More questions
-Will a tire place take my tires off and put back on cheap or free?
-What do you guys think of the products that "repel break dust"

Do you think that is safe with tires on?

If you use the aircraft stripper do it with the tires off the rims.

It will eat the rubber of the tire.

When ever my white inserts on my polished sawblades get nasty I use Mothers metal polish to get the built up brake dust off. It works good.

I think the white rims would look awsome on your color car.

You can find the OZ stickers on e-bay for cheap and there are also billet aluminun OZ center caps on there.

I was debating over spray painting mine til I get rims this winter. Should I go black or white on them?

keep a clean rag with you and once a day just give em a quick wipe. I used to do that and even though they were still little dirty they didn't look bad.

even though they do look nice you will become a slave to cleaning them.
