Ps3 for now.

I just don't have the extra cash.

Never been a fan of xbox, they never had any game good enough that was xbox specific to make me abandon Ps.

Now with all this bs LOL, def staying ps.

I can't wait to see all the people discover how much better PS really is once they make the switch.

I have both, and my son has both.



Honestly man, they both have their pro's and con's. Xbox live is better. It is. No two ways about it, it IS better.


Games do tend to play better on PS3, 1st person shooter games specifically generally are better on xbox. My son has a clan of kids his age that play constantly, and they tend to prefer xbox because of the live aspects being better/smoother. When he has friends over, or buys a game that he plays alone, its always ps3. So, honest. I think it goes either way.


The blue ray player on the ps3 is nice though. Actually it works better than my stand alone blue ray player.

Because of these changes to xbox though, I'm probably going Sony for a new generation of console. I'll keep the 360 though. I do enjoy that a lot.

I agree with that. In terms of specs, I'm sure the two are very competitve. Nobody is arguing those points, the issues are what's required to enjoy the aforementioned features. Without these restrictions as I'm calling them, I'm sure it will be the knock down drag out fight it always has been. But I'm sure the XBOX One will still sell due to the fact that some people don't want a Playstation 4. I am one of them. But I won't force myself to suffer any inconveniences to gaming either.

Honestly PC gaming is where it is at these days with more power, better graphics, and more freedom for a creative mind with mod packs.

With that said I have been gaming since the NES and have owned a lot of different consoles ... NES, SNES, gamecube, N64, wii PS1, PS2, PS3, xbox, xbox360.

I plan on eventually getting a PS4 and a Wii U but I am unsure about the xbox 1. It just seems Microsoft has decided that the consumer's thoughts and opinions doesn't matter. They are like the overbearing mother forcing their child to eat dinner with the threat "You are going to eat your brussel sprouts and like them!"

haha yeah exactly, the only thing XBL has on PSN is cross game chat, which IMO is pointless I don't want to hear my friend talking about how great forza 17 looks while I am playing battlefield

I believe PSN has in game chat, but ive never used it....but I do see chat options from time to time.

I just don't understand how you can argue that one is better then the other, when you have to pay for it when the other is free.

If you prefer one, thats cool, that doesn't make it better.

Imo they both do the same thing, so ill take the free one all day long, even if it gets hacked once in a while.

I'm pissed at microsoft. I really wanted to play forza 5, but there is no chance in hell of that happening. Either way I love gran T so it's whatever.

It was a cool idea but I remember reading that Microsoft purposely didn't encrypt the connection between Kinect and xbox, so that home devs could create apps for it and share it within the community.

Now they have one with 1080p and audio and no encryption?
