    Starting Annoyance

i have a problem in my coupe where the car cranks really slow and the starter clicks like the battery is low on power. but i know its got plenty of power in the battery. after just sitting there and holding the key to start.

the engine starts to turnover faster and faster then finally i can just hear the main relay click rapidly and the car just fires like nothing happened. i'm having to deal with this every time i start the car.

could it be a binding starter? or the battery? or? why would it act like the battery is dead?

Battery could be fine but the wires could be old and frayed. Replace the connections on the battery terminal, replace all grounds, and sand down ground metal.

could be a bad connection but it sound like you have a dead battery or a bad starter

I would take the starter out and have it tested at autozone to see if anythings faulty on it. The solenoid could be sticking who knows

my slow starter in the morning was solved with another starter. good battery and cranking there was enough cranking voltage at the starter + connection.

It's not hard to figure out if you can find a multimeter.
