Great pickup by the way though Fleetwood. We absolutely love our '09 Touring model. I just wish it wasn't burgandy/maroon. The silver looks great on these.
Until you look at the 2016 models which look like a large CR-V, they took all the boxiness out and made the windows almost the same shape as the CR-V's. The new ones look awful.

First road trip in the Pilot this weekend: Little Rock, AR and back. 4 people, fully loaded including hitch hauler on the way home, AC all the way. 23.7 MPG.
Visited the Bass Pro Shop Pyramid in Memphis, TN. Quite a store.
Sept. 25, 2016: Seems like no matter what you do - it is 23.7 MPG on the highway. 1000 mile trip to PA this weekend, up and down hills in PA, with and without AC, just three people, light load.Last edited by Fleetw00d; 09-25-2016, 09:29 PM.90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450

Wife got hit in this a few weeks ago backing out of a parking spot; damaged right rear corner. Honda at least made it relatively easy to replace the bumper cover; found one locally in matching color; used tail light in great condition on ebay. Got it back together this evening.90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450

No quarter panel damage? My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

Just paid too much for a set of Michelin 245/65R17 Defender LTX M/S tires for this. I got over 90,000 miles on a similar set on my 1999 E350.90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450

This is now up to 145,000 miles. Put a set of OEM rear shocks on it sometime last year, one was leaking badly enough to leave a puddle under the vehicle.
Wife was complaining of noise (thought she had a flat tire?) while I was in Mexico. Got home about 1:00 this morning. I had noticed the brakes sounding rough when first starting to drive it after sitting for a while, so I had purchased a set of pads for it. Should have gotten up earlier, had to finish the rear brakes in the rain. New pads all around; I don't hear any unusual noise when driving now. I'll have her drive it tomorrow to verify what she heard is gone. Still need to bleed the calipers to flush in fresh fluid and stiffen the pedal some.Last edited by Fleetw00d; 03-18-2019, 06:55 PM.90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450

Jeez Paul get home at 1 am and did a full brake job on the pilot. You are a beast. I would have put it off until the next day.~Nick~

Door locks started acting up on this. Symptoms pointed to the driver door latch/lock assembly. Replaced that this evening. Only problem was I kept dropping the clip for the lock cable into the bottom of the door - barely enough room to get my fingers down there to fish it out. It helped having the OEM service manual (all 3 volumes!).
This one has taken a bit of a beating lately. My wife his something and put a big ding in the right front fender. Someone else managed to scrape the left side of the rear bumper.
Now nearing 150,000 miles.90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450

Now closing on 163,000. Have heard some horror stories about oil consumption and fouled plugs because of the VCM system. Recent oil change didn't drain 5 quarts, so it must be using some. Changed the plugs today (first time I've done it), all looked OK, though there seemed to be a fair amount of cooked oil (I guess) on the plug threads. No too hard getting the rear bank plugs out. I had fears of poor access like my V6 Chevy Citations.
Came up with a simple repair for the cracked sliding cover on the console (list price from Honda $300+). Used 3M 90 spray adhesive to glue a piece of carbon fiber looking vinyl on top of the slats to hold them all together. $10 for a piece of material.90 LX 4dr 5 spd 396,014 (sold 1/1/2022) - MRT: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=201450
