          Was a hydrogen explosion.

We're totally unable to contact anyone over there even in the south eastern part of Honshu.

In one town of 17,000, more than 9,500 are missing.

What the fuck is your goal here. To piss people off?

A hydrogen explosion is a fuckload better than a nuclear meltdown.

And if radioactivity gets into the jet stream we may be fucked, depending on how much gets released.... Hope it doesnt

Eh, I doubt it. I'm no expert, but look at Chernobyl fallout maps. The area is mostly concentrated over Europe and that was a full balls-to-the-wall reactor explosion, which the Japanese say isn't going to happen. Some venting of steam with a little radioactivity is better than letting the reactor meltdown.

Yes, but if something sparks then there's a giant fireball are a nuclear facility. That's not good either.

Most of their pollution hits California. I'd imagine the cesium would make it there as well.

I'm not going to sit here and talk about the effects of that meltdown, but with cesium in the air, id say there is cause for alarm.

They evacuated 80k people in a 12 mile radius.

I don't think its going to stretch too far, but the implications in the area are not looking good.

Unit 1 releasing every hour what humans absorb in one year.

And now unit 3 is on the verge of a meltdown.

                            God speed Japan.

Cesium was a guess. IIRC reactions contain a host of elements, with Cesium likely being one of them.

I wonder why they're using boric acid?

Boric acid controls the fission rate of uranium.
