ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

People towing cars with cars are fucking idiots

rdedYou're going to rip the damn tow hitch off the car. The load capacity is not only engines ability to tow but also the strength of where its mounted to the vehicle.

not to mention a cb isn't designed to stop twice its weight.

I couldn't imagine trying to tow another Accord on a trailer with my car. That's just nuts.

I have towed a CD sedan on a car dolly with my wagon when it was F22 auto. It didn't like it, but I did it. It can pull the hell out of an EF or EG hatch and it doesn't bother it much. Now I mostly top my pop top camper and my jet ski around. Its more efficient than driving a truck and paying insurance. I also have a little small trailer that I can tote motors around. I know I am towing a little bit too much it can't get up a hill without slowing down. I just wouldn't have a light weight flywheel. I got a 12lber and I don't have alot of problems launching with heavy stuff, but it would be better with a stocker. The exedy stage 1 will REALLY help you in the long run.

The only drawback about my hitch is the fact that I drag pulling in and out of steep driveways and some speed bumps. Its a universal wagon and sedan hitch and its pretty damn beefy.

Well I wouldn't know why the trailer would weigh more than your car, but if it sures carry a heavy load then that would really be a point taken. Well you could always get a quality hitches( see CURT CLASS I RECEIVER HITCHES). An accord would be somehow heavy but just prepare for the worst yet to come.

I just found this thread not too long ago. I wouldnt go as far as tow a car but I would use the hitch to tow things like furniture or garden supplies. Nothing too heavy. I definitely want one though.

                  Trailer Hitch for CB9 Wagon

Hi everyone, trying to find some information. Does anyone know how to install or how to start looking to get a trailer hitch on a CB7 (CB9) wagon?

I have a 1993 Accord LX (auto) wagon and I want a trailer hitch but not for towing. I'm really into bicycles so I want a bike rack that attaches onto a trailer hitch so I don't have to mess up my wagon's paint or rear hatch.

I don't have a roof rack and storing your bikes on the car's roof isn't ideal.

                  Any help appreciated!

Check out U-Haul. Their web site indicates they might have a few left of a discontinued Class I hitch for CB9 on clearance. Shown as $189. There is a .pdf guide for installation. Mounts at least partially to the tow hook locations, but it involves cutting additional holes in the frame rail. If all you are going to do is haul bikes, maybe you could just use the existing bolt holes without the additional drilling. Have you looked for just a bike rack that mounts in place of the tow hooks?

Ahh I didn't know there would be drilling involved. I think I'd like to avoid that given the salt on our roads.

And I didn't know that bike racks could be mounted to the tow hooks! This sounds great, would you be able to recommend any?

                      Thanks!
