Transmission question

My 93 accord had a transmission shifting issue. After a lot of research I concluded that the tcu had some burned out resistors. I bought the parts and replaced the resistors in question that, sure enough, were burnt. Took the car for a test drive around the block. It worked. Now it's throwing the transmission codes for the lock up solenoid. My question is, could that be just happenstance that they're now bad or could they have been bad all along without throwing codes?

You could do as I did when mice ate through my tcu wiring and fried my board also...
Replace resistors and capacitors as per phearable.net recommendation.
Also remove both sets of solenoids from the front of your auto trans housing.
Check to see if they are operational by sending 12V to each one and listening for a clicking sound when voltage is applied.
Clean the screens and seals up good and put them back on the trans! That should work for ya.

Or just do a manual swap and call it a day

If you remove the solenoids to check them, I strongly suggest using new gasket/screens when reinstalling. The seals take a compression set and do not seal well when reused (unless just recently installed).
I'm down to one CB, going through withdrawal DTs
