1.5 hours into changing my heater core

Not too bad so far, and I've only broken one heater vent!

The manual made it sound very easy.
I have to say, so far it's not that hard. Removing the steering wheel was a bit ominous at first, but it ended up alright.

Sorry for the picture. Even with flash and ambient lighting my phone was not happy.

30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

Lots of DIY videos specifically for our car

Tippey said removing the steering wheel was easier!
Also Haynes said to. It wasn't that hard. The only thing that concerned me was I pulled a little too hard on the SRS connectors for my liking. I'll be sure to stand clear when I plug the airbag back in

When I get home from school today I'm going to try and pull the dash.

Because its annoying as shit trying to work on th e car with it laying there and it's a generally uncooperative to move. It's a lot easier to take the 2 t30 torx for the airbag and 1 19mm nut off

So far I haven't had to go upside down. That's a huge plus.
For some reason around this time of year my neck gets very testy.
One wrong move and I'm essentially bedridden for a month.

Well I hope it goes well! ! Luckily this is one thing I've never had to do on any of mine yet but I will watch this closely as I'm sure I will have to one day!

Thanks. I was trying to do a video, but then I broke my vent and couldn't find screw holes.
Maybe I'll patch something together so that way everyone will have an idea.

                  Wow, this looks like fun.
I didnt have to go this deep when I replaced the blower motor in the SE.
                  Good luck to you.

That's correct. According to the manual the blower motor is easier to change than this.

Somewhere along the very back center. I don't have the manual with me to reference.
I think the whole HVAC box has to come out though.
Perfect opportunity for me to clean out all the twigs and what not that I know have accumulated around my accumulator(AC thing)

Jake do you know how to replace a transmission? Um, No. But I have a thought on how it should come out.

Good luck Geoff. Great time of year to have your heater core go, eh?
