Hello!! Here's my issue, put in a new starter (actually 3 at this point) and it just spins and sounds like it is not making contact with the flywheel. Before I put in the new (first) starter it was making an intermediate rubbing noise, like the starter was rubbing the flywheel. I changed the starter same deal. My flywheel does show some signs that it was rubbing with the starter. No teeth are missing just slight rubbing.
I suppose my question is this. How can I check for sure that the flywheel is screwed?? I will post a pic and video in a min of what I can see. I guess I believed that the starter made more contact with the flywheel to start the car than just a few MM.
I haven't driven the car much, right after I bought it it needed a new rack and so I drove it to the shop and that's when the rubbing noise started (wish it would have BEFORE I bought the car!!) changed the starter before I left his shop about a month later (Very slow mechanic). Got in 2 accidents after and didn't have time to touch the car until now over a year later. This is suppose to be my daily/winter beater.
What's been changed:
Starter, the one currently is brand new
plugs
wires
battery
lower tube seals
