ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    Power door locks.

So I go outside turn my alarm off, and tried to open my door. It was still locked, so I turn my alarm back on, and off and the doors are still locked. I have had my alarm for 2 years. What could the issue be, and how would I go about fixing it??

Do your door locks work manually when you hit the power lock switch on the door?

It could be the actuator on the door or maybe the little gray box thats on the driver side door I think that box controls the door locks.

i temporarily experience something similiar to that when i asked my mechanic he said it could have been the actuator or something like that i dont remember. However my case was i realize that whenever it rains extremely hard and there is moisture in my car it the power lock sometimes malfunction until the car get dry I had to push the button up and the push don quick to have them lock fast the alarm was not doing it . Is inside the car wet?.

Yes my door locks work manually, but when I hit the power lock switch you hear a click, but it doesn't work. Could it still be something wrong with my alarm system?

I have read a couple different places say that it is the little grey box, but why would both sides, driver side and passenger side be out?

That kinda makes since because it has been freezing outside lately, and i may have a slight leak.

I don't think the issue is with the alarm system, its with the way the normal power locks function. Check fuse #27 under the hood.

Heres the electrical diagram for the power door locks:

Have you checked the fuse for the alarm system? Does it even beep at you / flash the lights when you try to unlock it with the keyfob? I've had the fuse on my alarm go out, and it disabled my locks, but I don't ever remember it clicking when I hit the door switches, unless your referring to the slight click the switch actually makes.

I have not checked the fuse for the alarm, but it does beep/flash at me. The clicking i am talking about, either using the alarm or manually using the power door lock switches, it clicks as if wanting to work, but doesnt. Get this last night I am driving home, and i tried using my power door lock, and it works. I tried it 5 min later driving home, and stopped working. lol

The gray box I believe is the control box that sends the signal to each door. I would just snag one from the jy and try it out and see if that fixes your problem you could always un plug your alarms brain and try to use to power locks without the alarm and see if the alarm is the problem.

Thanks, good idea about unplugging the brain of the alarm. Now I can see if it is my alarm or not.
