    The "Jealous Haters"

    I'm just wondering...


    Why is it that whenever a car enthusiast acts like a superior douchebag to others in the scene, they INSIST that the people that don't like them because of their actions are jealous?

    I don't care if your car makes 600hp, has all the JDM goodies, and is in perfect condition... if you're a dick, you're a dick. If you're a dick, I like your car considerably less.



    I've seen a lot of this over the years, and I just wanted to see what other people thought. I've never really been jealous of ANYONE's car. Sure, people have things that I want. And yes, I could have those nice things too, if I changed my priorities (I could live with mommy and have a crazy nice car on a mediocre income as well!)

    I know what you mean. I think the jealous asshats are basically insecure, so they have to hate on what someone else has in order to make themselves look better in their own eyes.

    I personally don't hate because of what you have, I hate because of how you act.

      Actually, you're missing the point of my post...


      It's not the jealous haters that I'm wondering about... it's the people that act like jerks, and automatically assume that the world is "jealous" of their fantastic ride.

      Idiot: "yo bro you should get a JDM front bumper like me. don't be a loser with a body kit"
      unsuspecting tuner: "but I want a body kit. I don't want a JDM front bumper"
      Idiot: "man, then you're just stupid"
      unsuspecting tuner: "shut up. leave me alone"
      Idiot: "man why you gotta be hatin? you're just jealous"

      (sorry for the lame-o dialogue... )



      As I say this, I get the Beastie Boys in my head.. "aw mom you're just jealous, it's the Beastie Boys!"... same concept. I'm sure mom wasn't really jealous of the Beastie Boys. My mom certainly isn't.

        reminds me of this one cat, who I don't think is very active here nowadays. his car was real nice, but his cocky attitude just made him more of a douchebag than an inspiration.

            Deev, stop being a jealous hater.

            But yeah, I know exactly what you mean. When people have a super nice car, but every action of theirs is about how they are right, nothing is faster, they are superior, and if you disagree you are stupid or a hater, then I lose pretty much all respect for said person.

            Moral of the story.

            Be humble. And not everyone has to like the same stuff, and if someone likes something different than you, then cool, you wouldn't flame someone for liking pepsi instead of coke would you?

            I hope not.

            But then again, this is the internet, and the superiority of pepsi has been proven multiple times.

            Hater.

                  I actually DO prefer Pepsi. Regular Pepsi over regular Coke. Any flavored or diet versions, I prefer Coke (cherry Coke > cherry Pepsi)

                    I get what you're saying...I've seen a few people like that on here. Really, if someone wants to do something, even if you may not agree, it's their choice. Shouldn't bring them down for it. What looks good to one person won't necessarily look good to the other. Should respect that they made the effort and put in the work to do it though

                        Actually, Joey wasn't all that guilty of it. It was the guys swinging from his nuts that copped the attitude, and Joe got all the heat from it. He DID last out at the "haters", and that was irritating, but the dickhead attitude didn't come from him first.


                        And for the record, he wasn't even in my mind when I made this thread.
