Did things seem simpler when you were younger?

I'm sure it's not just me, But looking back the some the dramas when I was younger seem so much simpler to work out now.
Now the same situations, seems to have more impact, more decisions, more consequences.

What was one of your biggest uncontrollable life changes when you were younger, that now that you look back were simple to work out?

Mine personally, was when my parents split (I was 11 and never saw my dad again), and my mum met a new guy a year later (Who I "decided" I hated) Now 11 years on I love him more than my real dad.
Lol too many bad stories between us over the first few years makes for good stories at parties now
Ahhh how our younger experiences work out

Parents split when I was 14, but stayed in the same town. I lived one month with dad, one month with mom. I had 2 homes for 4 years. That WAS my decision, though. I refused to choose which parent I was going to live with.

My dad died when I was 20 (not really a kid anymore, but close enough.) I found him. I suppose that's when I learned that there are some things you just have to accept.

Everything else in my life that I wasn't happy with, I learned to change, or use to my advantage. You can't control the wave... the only choices are to ride it to the top, or let it suck you down to the bottom. If you make it to the top, you'll eventually fall. If you make it to the bottom, you'll eventually float.

But yeah, everything was simpler when I was younger. Hell, everything was simpler just 2 years ago, when I thought I had my life planned out.

Upon looking back on it there was nothing in my childhood that could be considered bad or problematic......There were times then when I thought the world was coming to an end but now I cant even remember those days lol

The worst would be when my grandparents passed away......but that happens to pretty much every child growing up

Now I dont worry about money......but all I think about is how I can make more of it haha

                True.

I wish I was back in college. I never realized until now how "easy" I had it. Well the times weren't that easy, but compared to now....yeah.

I'm 19 so I'm technically still fairly young so I think I'm still on easy street even though I have some problems with finding work and making money and chasing my dream I think I can still take advantage of my position to better jumpstart my future.

but yeah I just miss the days when it was all about my toys and my ice cream.

And I must say I hated being at school, even while I was working part time
once I left school, I wished I could have stayed there

Right from the heart I really like the way you could go between your parents after they split, and I admire your life attitude even with the passing of your father - HUGE props from me
