just curious, who else here likes the deftones, and whats ur favorite song and album?

my fav song is probably Fireal, and album i cant decide between Adrenaline and Around the Fur.

I love the deftones.. I remember the day that white pony came out. I was in florida visiting my grandpop, i had to get it though. My parents went into some store, i went to the cd store and bought it.. i listend to it for a while, still a little dissapointed in it.. My favorite is definatly a toss up between adrenaline and around the fur, both are amazing, it really all depends on my mood..

Around the Fur by far is my favorite album, but the more and more ive heard Aderiline (?) the more i like it.

If you like that, go buy Sepultura's Roots. If for any reason you dont know what im talking about, Sepultura is Max Cavalera's old band, and Roots is one of thoes CDs where, if I had to choose between 10 CDs i could have with me on a desert island, that would be one of them.

all songs mentioned are great, and maynard is amazing. his voice is perfect for Passenger.

i just listened to adrenaline and ATF (no not auto tranny fluid :P) straight thru, decided adrenaline is my fav, just because it had more of the "best" songs when i counted them up.

not to boast, but i got his autograph about 4 years ago at a concert and to this day, i remember saying "my life is complete now". haha

tons of new members, lets get a new fan list.

ive been listening to White Pony a lot recently. its still got the sharp deftones sound, but its a bit more eerie as a whole... and as you listen through the album it kinda mellows out and trails off into nothing (pink maggit). love it. especially knife prty. and having maynard thrown in there makes it that much better!

still on the fence about their self titled... too different.

supposedly they have a new album coming out. they do have a new single called "Hole in the Earth".

yea, i feel the same way about the selftitled. eh, i still rock out to it.

have you gotten their B-Sides & Rareties? a must for hardcore deftones fans! even if you arent into their cover songs, the DVD w/ it will DEFINITELY make up for it!

ive seen Deftones live twice since i last responded to this thread. they still got it! damn Mike, you would have LOVED the last show i saw (Family Values Tour), as they tore up White Pony. they even played "Passenger", but of course w/o Maynard. but it was pretty shocking, i never expected to hear that one live.

i havent checked up on their news about singles/a new album, but thats good to know. i will DEFINATELY keep an eye out for it and buy it as soon as its available.

ive never really downloaded any of their bsides/etc, and the only dvd i have of theirs was their "live from hawaii" one where they do a lot of acoustic/live versions of their songs. its alright.

i still have to get out to one of their shows, and it needs to be before their new album comes out, so i can see them play their older stuff. im very very jealous. ill check when i get home to see if theres anything local perhaps.

Diggin Headup as well. I liked Minerva too. I think Passenger, kinfe party and rx queen are my favs. i like that whole album.

At first I did not care for them to much just because I kept hearing the fly song (sorry don't know the name) but I recently seen them with Korn at the family values tour up in Noblesville (near Indy) well now I have to buy all the cd's. Maynard is great. It was pretty cool When He came out and did a song with Korn (Ice Cubes Wicked).
