Dude if you can find it, watch Crayon Shin Chan. Fuck, I used to watch that all the time when I'd visit my grandparents in Japan. I saw it last year a couple times on Cartoon Network but it wasn't as funny because they dicked his voice. Japanese one is the best. Subtitles are hilarious.

I've seen Wangan Midnight. Not sure where I stopped, but possibly with the last of the subbed episodes. I agree, it's good. Not quite as good as Initial D (I liked the format of Initial D... start a race on one episode, finish on the next, repeat)

Gundam was a badass show though....but DBZ should be up there with Gundamn....seriously. Pokemon and Digimon should be last, if on the list at all. Unless you're 6 years old...then I understand.

As far as ultimate anime goes...I'd say anything that involves huge tentacle monsters, females, and the word rape.
